Roselawn Memorial Park Restoration Fund
Roselawn Memorial Park is a place of peace and tranquility where families come to remember their loved ones. Our beautiful grounds, mausoleums, and cremation gardens are maintained in the highest standards for the benefit of each family we serve. Roselawn will continue to be a place of quiet beauty for many generations to come.
Roselawn was established in 1928 as a non-denominational perpetual care cemetery to serve the needs of Monroe County families. In 1958 Roselawn became a non-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors. All excess funds from the operation of the cemetery are used for the continued improvement and beautification of the cemetery.
Roselawn has many beautiful and unique buildings within its grounds. Among the architectural gems is the Chapel Mausoleum, built in 1935 as the centerpiece of the cemetery. All of our buildings have been designed to last through the ages using enduring materials such as granite, marble, and bronze.
As time marches on even the most durable, most solidly built structure will need periodic maintenance. Roof repairs, granite and marble repointing, repairs to walk-ways and mechanical systems are all inevitable. To prepare for the future, the Board of Directors at Roselawn Memorial Park has established the Restoration Fund. The purpose of the fund is to ensure that the historic buildings here are maintained in the highest standards indefinitely.
Donations to the Restoration Fund may be made in the form of unused grave spaces, crypts, niches, or other burial rights, stocks, bonds, annuities, as well as cash memorials or other bequests. Under some circumstances, these gifts may be tax deductible as a charitable donation. Please consult your tax advisor to see if your gift would qualify.
